We’re Getting Married!
We are tying the knot and would love to have you by our side to celebrate this moment.
The civil ceremony and reception will take place at The Oakfield Manor, the heart of Chester Zoo. Don’t forget to come with comfortable shoes, as we will be exploring the Zoo together.
If you are flying to the UK, we recommend that you fly to Manchester Airport and take the direct train from Manchester Airport to Chester, by Transport for Wales. The train departs hourly and you can book the tickets in advance through the website of the National Rail or buy them directly in the train station once you arrive.
If you opt to book your train ticket in advance, please don’t forget to choose the “Manchester Airport” as your starting point, Manchester has several train stations.

We will arrange a bus to pick up the guests close to Chester Train Station and bring them back at the end of the reception. If you are interested, please don’t forget to mark the option in the RSVP form.

Natalia was born and raised in the urban grey of São Paulo (BR), which is currently populated by 22.6 million people.

Liam was born and raised in the rural green Whitchurch (UK), which is currently populated by 0.001 million people.
Although they had no idea at the time, their futures started to align when they both decided to study Civil Engineering.

Their destinies, however, only crossed when they both accepted the crazy adventure of doing a PhD in Zürich. Two offices away, they finally met in 2019. They exchanged phone numbers when Liam kindly took pictures of Natalia presenting in a conference and asked for her number, so he could send the pictures.

After 5 years of collecting happy memories, they decided to tie the knot in one of their favourite places, and they look forward to sharing one of their best memories with you at Chester Zoo.

Zest for Life work with children, young people and single mothers living in a remote district of west Kenya. The charity aims to change lives by offering access to education.
“Connecting the dots” is a project that connects recyclable waste collectors, farmers, popular teaching institutions and families in the southern region of São Paulo. It creates waste collection points in educational institutions, where the waste can be exchanged for fruit and vegetables planted locally. It generates income for the waste collectors, while improving the nutrition of the local population.
